To access CHEQs, you must log in using a social account. Supported options include Google, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, or Apple. This enables a secure and streamlined sign-in process.
After logging in, you’ll be prompted to complete identity verification. This is a compliance requirement and helps ensure a secure environment for all users. Depending on your profile and country of residence you may need to share different sets of information.
You’ll then select a unique @handle, which will act as your public-facing ID on CHEQs. This handle will be used by others to send you payments or identify your account. The handle is made up of letters and numbers and has a minimum of 8 characters.
Next, you’ll create a secure PIN Code. This PIN is used to authorise and sign all actions within the platform, including sending funds or changing settings.
You’ll also set an Emergency Password and generate Backup Cards. These can be used to reset your PIN or recover your account if access is ever lost.
Once your account setup is complete, you can add funds to your CHEQs account using supported currencies to begin sending, receiving, or managing payments.
